The SPLM Loyalist Voluntary group extends our heartfelt congratulations to our national Basketball team on their incredible achievements. We have been witness to their exceptional success not only within South Sudan, but also at the African level and on the global stage. From their victories over Tunisia and the Arab Republic of Egypt to overcoming challenges from top teams like Senegal and Angola, the black stars have displayed remarkable talent and determination.

Their triumphs against strong African competitors such as Egypt, Tunisia, Senegal, and Angola paved the way for their historic victory over China and the Philippines, representing the Asian continent. Additionally, the team’s participation in the Olympic Basketball tournament in Paris, France as the representatives of the African continent is a proud moment for all.

We want to clarify that our team is not just representing South Sudan; they are ambassadors of the entire African continent. Special commendation goes to our South Sudan black stars for defeating formidable opponents like Portugal and the British Basketball team, showcasing their skill and resilience.

Despite a recent loss to the USA Basketball team, the South Sudan Black Stars demonstrated exceptional effort and sportsmanship. Their competitiveness against top-tier teams like the USA is a testament to their talent and potential. We applaud their dedication and teamwork, led by President of the South Sudan Basketball team Mr. Luol Deng and Coach Royal Ivey.

To our loyal supporters and members of the SPLM Loyalist Voluntary group across the globe, we express our deepest gratitude for your unwavering financial and moral support. Your commitment to our cause and the team has been invaluable in our journey towards success.

In conclusion, the South Sudan Basketball team has not only made our beloved President, Gen. Salva Kiir Mayardit, proud but has also united our nation through their outstanding performances. As we continue to cheer on our team, let us remember that their achievements resonate beyond the court, inspiring friendship, leadership, and national pride.

Thank you to all who have contributed to this remarkable journey.
