In a bid to enhance traditional leadership and cultural management in the Azande Kingdom, the Sun Rays Foundation recently organized a three-day training session for community leaders. The initiative, aimed at equipping leaders with the necessary skills and knowledge to understand their roles within the kingdom’s development landscape, saw the participation of government officials, church representatives, and community leaders.

The opening ceremony, graced by Prince Tadeo Mario Sasa, the Prime Minister of the Azande Kingdom, underscored the significance of empowering community leaders to collaborate effectively with the government and church for the overall progress of the kingdom. The event also featured Queen Sentina Atoroba Peni Rikito Gbudue, who emphasized unity and cohesion among the diverse tribes residing in the Azande Kingdom.

Deputy Governor of Western Equatoria State, Elia Richard Box, commended the state’s commitment to maintaining security, particularly in Yambio County, amidst economic challenges. He lauded President Salva Kiir Mayardit for supporting the reinstallation of the Azande Kingdom and encouraged participants to implement the knowledge acquired during the training.

Themed “Azande Kingdom towards Transformation of Leadership and Society,” the training program aims to pave the way for effective leadership and societal development within the kingdom. The collaborative efforts of the Sun Rays Foundation, Azande Kingdom, and various stakeholders reflect a shared commitment to fostering sustainable growth and well-being in the region.

As traditional leaders continue to be empowered through such initiatives, the Azande Kingdom is poised for a brighter future marked by unity, progress, and prosperity.
